A New Version of Orpheus

In the city of Los Angeles ,California there lived a man called Orpheus .He loved music.His name came from a Greek word that meant, father of music.Orpheus did not have a mother and whenever he asked his dad about his mom he never told him about her.But one day as Orpheus was coming home from school he found a flyer that read,"Know about your past!".The curious teenager went to the place,he did not know what was goingto happaen next.Later, he found out his mother was a muse ,and also Greek.He now knew the truth about his name and later became a famous singer.His band Is famous thruoghout the world.

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was a powerful general.He was one of the greatest men in Rome .His uncle and a general were both fighting in a civil war to take Rome's control.Both men succeeded rapidly.Today,Juluis Caesaris recgnized only becuse his uncle was ruler but also for being a great warrior.

My Favorite Greek Thinker

My favorite Greek thinker would be Plato.He was a fomous greek philosipher.He learned from the Western thought civilization.He is my favorite also because he has a cave named after himself . Also he encourages us to think intellegently of ourselves.I think it is important to remember that ,so that is why he is my favorite greek thinker.

Hector

I believe Hector did the right thing by figthing Achilles.I think the reason that Hector accepted Achilles challenge was because he wanted to save his country.I wuold have done the same for my country because there would be less people dying and I would have saved the whole town instead of just one person suviving.This is why I believe Hector did the right thing by accepting Achilles's challenge .This shows he was a caring person and was responsible.

The Myth of Osiris

Osiris is the Egyptian king of the underworld.He rules the underworld along with his wife Isis.And with the help of the god Anubis.Osiris has a son named Horus who is the god of earth.The myth of Osiris starts when he is born along with three other siblings .His brother Seth was jelous of Osiris being the ruler of earth .So he killed Osiris and sent him to the underworld along with his wife Isis. Osiris has the help of Anubis who makes sure the right people go to the underworld.This is the myth of Osiris.

EGYPTIAN PHARAOHS

Pharaohs are known as Egyptian king.The word "Pharaoh"means "great house " in Egypt.The first Egyptian pharaoh was named Menes.After he died his family started dynasties,or series of rulers from the same family.The first dynasty lasted for about 200 years.The pharaoh wore different crowns.A red and white crown combined meant they were rulers of Lower & Upper Egypt.If they wore 1 crown meant they only ruled 1 place.These are the rulers of Ancient Egypt.

Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh was the ruler of Uruk.He &his friend Enkidu needed an adveture.So they set off to find a demon named Humbaba.Sadly they never found him.They built a house .They came home a few years later.They were very upset.:( Little did they know what was coming.


Soon when they were home ,their city was destroyed! They realized who did this.It was the demon Humbaba!They had to do something!So they set of to find him ,AGAIN!So they set off.They were ready for another adventure.They were ready to find him this time.

They did not find him again.They were so desperate.They couldn't beleive it! Another failiure!They did nothing about it.They tried t0 calm down their people .Instead ,more grave things happened.They were so tired ,but they didn't give up.So after many years ,they finally got rid of Humbaba.No one knows what happened after that.Surely their lives were full of adventure .Well at least for Gilgamesh! Enkidu had died in war , sadly!No one knows what happened to Gilgamesh after that.Though they sure know this:he was a HERO!
